Dear Friends...

I apologize for being away for so long...no worries, I am alive and well. Work has been keeping me extremely busy over the last four weeks, but I hope to regain at least a smidge of the free time I used to have. Since I last blogged, I was promoted at work and have been working 12+ hour days and weekends. Throw in a couple business trips, a blizzard, and a weekend trip to Miami, and it all added up to = no time to blog.

So much has happened in the world since my last post....the Olympics have come and gone, Britney threw caution to the wind (and almost her baby), Cheney shot his best friend while hunting, Brokeback Mountain continues to dominate at the box office, Mariah got ripped off at the Grammy’s, and just as I really started to think my ipod Video made me cool rumors start flying about the NEW Video ipod.

Not Funny

Did anyone else hear Dennis Quaid last night when he introduced Brokeback Mountain...Andy Towle confirms what I thought I heard:

The other very satisfying moment of the show was when Dennis Quaid introduced Brokeback Mountain by saying "it rhymes with chick flick" and nobody laughed, thereby exposing himself as the biggest "dick" in the room.

Honestly...not funny Dennis Quaid. What was the last successful movie you made anyway? You certaintly can't count "In Good Company" with Topher Grace. Loser.

My Baby's Got a Secret....

...and it's on Brokeback Mountain apparently. While in Paris this weekend, I took a snapshot of the movie poster for Brokeback. They were ALL over the place. And how appropriate, as it won FOUR Golden Globes last night, including Best Picture and Best Director.

Paris was a blast this weekend...the weather was amazing, the food even better and it was all topped off with some amazing sales. I snatched up some very fancy shoes. More pictures to come....

'Gay' police horse case dropped

A student who called a mounted policeman's horse "gay" will not be prosecuted, it is revealed.

This story makes me think of Legally Blonde II when Reese Witherspoon has to pick Bruiser up from the vet and finds out that her dog is "GAAAAAY". I could easily watch the Legally Blonde movies 10 times in a row...in that same category is Broken Hearts Club, Mean Girls, and Steel Magnolias.

ABC's Gen. Hospital to Air Gay Friendly PSA

This is pretty cool...keep in mind, ABC is owned by Disney.
ABC, during its daytime soap opera General Hospital, will air a public service announcement featuring General Hospital actors Ben Hogestyn and Lindze Letherman, that urges viewers to take a stand against homophobia.
